Careful Cleaning for Kashmir’s Traditional Textiles
Pashmina and Kani shawls, Crewel curtains, pherans, traditional woollens and Aari, Sozni or Tilla-embellished garments are made differently, so they cannot be cleaned the same way as everyday clothes. At Dr. Good Day Luxcare Studio, every piece is inspected first and handled with a method that suits its fabric and embellishment.

Each item is assessed individually before any cleaning method is chosen.
Pashmina & Kani Shawls
Fine, delicate fibres that can felt, stretch or lose their softness with the wrong wash. Handled gently, with care for the weave and any woven or hand-worked patterns.
Crewel Curtains & Textiles
Chain-stitched wool-on-cotton work needs a cleaning approach that respects both the stitching and the base cloth, so colours and embroidery are not stressed.
Aari, Sozni & Tilla-Embellished Garments
We clean garments that carry this embroidery. Metallic thread and dense hand stitching are assessed first, and the method is chosen to suit the piece. (We do not offer embroidery or tailoring work.)
Pherans & Traditional Woollens
Heavy winter wear, wool coats and traditional woollens, cleaned and finished with attention to the fabric, lining and any embellishment.
Delicate & Occasion Wear
Bridal and festive outfits, silks and other delicate pieces that need an inspection-led approach rather than a standard wash.

We check fibre, dye, embellishment and any existing damage or stains before deciding on a method.
🧪 2. Choose the method
Different fabrics and embellishments need different cleaning methods. Nothing goes into a standard cycle by default.
🎁 3. Clean & finish
Careful cleaning, drying and finishing, then returned with pickup and delivery across our service areas.
💡 What to Expect
Old, set or dye-based stains on delicate textiles cannot always be removed fully, and we will not promise a specific result. After inspection we tell you what we recommend and what outcome is realistic for your piece. Common pieces such as Pashmina shawls, pherans and Tilla garments have listed per-piece rates. For rare, antique or heavily embellished items, we confirm the price after inspection, so please use Request a Quote.
